![]() ![]() With Motion Control, you can create new sounds not possible on previous hardware synthesizers. Interact with MONTAGE Performances using Motion Control: a highly programmable control matrix for creating deep, dynamic and incredibly expressive sound. Yamaha today announced that they are retiring the Montage, their flagship workstation synthesizer. Motion Control Synthesis EngineMotion Control Synthesis Engine unifies and controls two iconic Sound Engines: AWM2 (high-quality waveform and subtractive synthesis) and FM-X (modern, pure Frequency Modulation synthesis.) These two engines can be freely zoned or layered across eight parts in a single MONTAGE Performance. AWM2 with 128-element architecture delivers more articulations, dynamics, and high-definition sound. AN-X models classic analog synthesizer sound and behavior. This means that the Montage allows for far more samples per instrument than the XF, and thus a far more nuanced sound. Yamaha Montage M8x 88-key Synthesizer Features: Fully weighted GEX keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch. Powered by proprietary Yamaha data compression and playback technology, the AWM2 engine provides realistic sound reproduction and features nearly 10 times the waveform capacity of the Motif XF. The top panel is filled with lots of buttons and you will also realize that this one comes with 88-keys which are an upgrade from the previous two synthesizers. ![]() The Yamaha Montage 8 employs the elements of both the keyboards in the Motif and DX series. This instrument has been designed to replace the Motif keyboards in delivering high-quality sounds for a magical stage performance. Employing Motion-Control Synthesis, the Montage combines two sound engines: the AWM2 (synthesis- and sample-based sounds) and FM-X (Frequency-Modulation synthesis.) The Montage 8 is Yamaha’s answer to the demands placed on synthesizers today. It is a serious bridge between the digital. The Yamaha Montage 8 is a 88-key workstation synthesizer that combines elements of the DX- and the Motif-series keyboards. The dynamic playability is noticeably improved and the ambiances are more lifelike, but the Montage is so much more.
